Presentation and Poster format

Abstract poster presentations, introduced at the previous Euroanaesthesia congresses, will be continued at Euroanaesthesia 2012. The abstract presenters will NOT be required to make a formal presentation using audiovisual aids.

Instead, two chairpersons will conduct, in front of each poster, a short discussion of each abstract with the presenter and the audience, for every abstract in that session. In each session, up to 10 abstracts will be presented. Poster presenters will be required to stand by their poster for 45 minutes before and 30 minutes after their session, to address further questions.

Poster format

  • The surface available for each poster is 90 cm (width) by 130 (height).
  • You should not prepare a poster that covers the full area.
  • Make your poster legible from at least 2 meters away and do not provide an excess of information. It is useful to have available A4 photocopies of your poster for the audience.
  • The day of the presentation, each presenter should put his/her poster on display at least 1 to 1,5 hours before the start of the session.
  • Your poster number will be indicated on the appropriate panel. It is the responsibility of each presenter to ensure that the poster is put on the correct poster board. All boards are indicated as well as the poster number to be placed.
  • Pins to fix the poster on the designated panel will be provided onsite.  A hostess will be present at the Abstract Poster Desk if you require any assistance.
  • If you wish to keep your poster you have to remove it on the day of the presentation before 18.00 on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
  • If you do not remove the poster on time, the organisers will assume that you no longer require your poster and will dispose of it.

Extend the life of your poster!

The European Society of Anesthesiology, in cooperation with Faculty of 1000 (http://f1000.com), invites all members to deposit any of their poster/oral presentation(s) into the established open access poster repository, F1000 Posters (http://f1000.com/posters) to allow those who could not make the meeting have the opportunity to see your novel work. F1000's expert Faculty of 10,000 members will then view these submissions to identify those they wish to select for positive evaluation in the award winning F1000 service. To deposit your poster, simply go to http://f1000.com/posters/depositor and upload your file.
