Basic Sciences Anaesthetic Course
The ESA Board of Directors and the ESA Examinations Committee are pleased to announce the first EDA Preparatory Course in Basic Sciences. The 3-day course includes access to selected Scientific Sessions and the Inaugural Ceremonies of Euroanaesthesia 2012.
The Basic Sciences Anaesthetic Course runs at the same place and time as Euroanaesthesia 2012, however attendance is restricted to either the Basic Sciences Anaesthetic course or Euroanaesthesia 2012. Attendees cannot register for both events.
Participants must attend the entire course in order to sit the formative Online Assessment on 12 June to obtain the Certificate of Attendance.
The Basic Sciences Anaesthetic Course takes place during Euroanaesthesia 2012 at the Palais des Congrès de Paris. The course is split into 2 half days and 2 full days:
Saturday 9 June 2012 from 13:00 to 16:30
Sunday 10 June 2012 from 08:30 to 16:30
Monday 11 June 2012 from 08:30 to 16:30
Tuesday 12 June 2012 from 08:30 to 12:00

How much does it cost and what is included in the registration fee?
The registration fee for the Basic Sciences Anaesthetic Course is:
- 250 Euro for ESA Trainee Members
- 250 Euro for ESA Active Members Reduced Fee Countries
- 430 Euro for ESA Active Members
- 430 Euro for ESA Affiliate Members
The registration fee includes:
- attendance at the Basic Sciences Anaesthetic Course
- attendance at selected Congress Sessions such as the Inaugural Ceremony, Welcome Reception, and Industry Symposia.
- Certificate of Attendance
- Access to Exhibition area and Internet Corner
- Online access to recordings of all Basic Sciences Anaesthetic Course presentations following the course
- Online access to recordings of all Euroanaesthesia 2012 presentations following the Congress
- Opportunity to buy Networking Evening ticket (60 Euro)
| What should you bring to the course? You must bring your own laptop to the course. You will need to use your own laptop to take the formative Online Assessment. No laptops will be provided by the organisers. Tablet PCs or smartphones cannot be used to take the Online Assessment. |
Registration

- No on-site registration will be possible

Cancellations
Registration cancellations must be received in writing at the ESA Secretariat no later than 45 days (Wednesday, 25 April 2012) prior to the first day of the Course. Beyond this period, cancellations are non refundable. If the Course has to be cancelled due to any epidemic or natural disaster known before 30 November 2011, no refund can be given, as our insurance does not cover those risks.
Refunds
Eligible refunds, net of a 50 Euro administration fee, are transacted after the Course.
Lost-Badge Policy
Replacement badges are charged at 100 euro per day, refundable if you find your lost badge later.
